We would like to welcome you to AniCura's first Belgian congress, the AniCura Small Animal Urology Congress, that will take place February 17-18th 2022 at Orsi in Melle, Belgium!
The two-day congress covers all important aspects of small animal urology. Since many new treatment options have been emerging the last decade, the focus of the congress is on propagating new insights into pathologies, educate on new diagnostic techniques and introduce less invasive, innovative treatment methods. It is therefore suitable for those who want to improve their general knowledge, as well as those that want to specifically acquire new skills.
On Wednesday 16th of Feb we will organise a Wet-lab Masterclass on cystoscopy techniques. Participants are introduced to the non-invasive use of flexible and rigid endoscopes for urethrocystoscopy. Also, the surgical use of endoscopes for percutaneous cystoscopy is taught. These techniques will greatly facilitate the diagnosis of many urological pathologies and be helpful in the surgical treatment of several of these pathologies.
Update: because of the major interest in the Wet-lab Masterclass cystoscopy techniques, we decided to offer this masterclass also on Feb 18th.
On Thursday 17th and Friday 18th we have foreseen a Wet-lab Masterclass on the treatment of ureteral obstruction with a subcutaneous ureteral bypass device. Participants will understand the decision-making tree for ureteral obstruction in cats. Furthermore, they are taught how to place a subcutaneous ureteral bypass device. Attention is also given to the follow-up of these delicate patients.
The working language for both the conference and the wet-labs is English.

Learning Objectives
- Having followed this congress participants will know the current treatment options for the most relevant urological pathologies.
- Participants of the first day Wet-lab Masterclass will be proficient in using endoscopes for diagnostic and surgical cystoscopy procedures.
- Participants of the second day Wet-lab Masterclass will have learned the indications and technical pitfalls associated with the placement of a subcutaneous ureteral bypass device.

Participants may be asked to either show proof of vaccination or a negative corona test within the last 48 hours.
In case of unforseen national or international travel or meeting restrictions we may have to change or cancel parts of or the whole congress. Please make travel arrangements that are posible to change or cancel.
Course Fee
- A two-day ticket is 495 EUR.
- Dinner including drinks costs 60 EUR.
- Master class cystoscopy on Feb 17th or 18th is 550 EUR.
- Master class SUBS on Feb 18th is 2100 EUR.
All above prices are excluding VAT. A shuttle service between the hotel and event location is included. Places are filled on a 'first come, first served' basis.
